Final Cut Pro X is a video editing software application created by Apple for OS X. Unlike previously released versions of the video editing program Final Cut, Final Cut Pro X is an all-new application.
Lesson 2: Importing Media
In this lesson, we are going to learn how to import media from various sources, including cameras, iPhones, iPads, and local drives.
Lesson 3: Organizing Media in Final Cut Pro X
Each event in Final Cut Pro X represents a folder on your computer that contains the original source media, any render files, as well as a database file that helps Final Cut Pro X keep track of everything.
Lesson 4: Getting Started with a Project
In order to create or edit a video in Final Cut Pro X, you must first create a project. A project contains all the media you use and all the edits that you make.
Lesson 5: Editing Clips in the Timeline
In this lesson, we are going to focus on cutting and trimming clips, then move on to advanced editing techniques later in the course.
Lesson 6: Working with Audio
You can analyze audio and fix sound problems, synch audio with video, adjust the volume, add effects, and much more.

Color correction is an important part of any editing project. You use it primarily to remove color casts and ensure that each clip has a consistent look, lighting, and exposure.

Titles tell us the name of the film, who is in it, and sometimes, in the case of foreign films or closed captioning, what an actor is saying. Transitions are often used to create a passage of time or change of scenery or of circumstance.

In movie making programs such as Final Cut Pro X, keyframes are used to create animation. Keyframes allow you to animate special effects.
Lesson 10: Keying and Compositing
Compositing is defined as combining two images in a scene and making it appear as if they were shot together. Keying is also known as greenscreening or chromakeying. It involves replacing a color in an image with parts from a background image.
Lesson 11: Exporting and Sharing Projects
